Built by a Navy logistics architect. Refined by three decades in the field.

HAL, Inc. created C2C® to take materials management from scattered spreadsheets to a single source of truth. Three decades later, it’s still built the same way: driven by the industry’s actual needs.

Our story

After a 25-year Navy career, a new mission

HAL, Inc. was founded in 1992 by CDR Ernest Allen “Al” Parkin, USN, a 25-year Naval officer who served as a systems integrator, pilot, and senior logistics systems architect. Following his retirement from the Navy, Al discovered a real need for his expertise in the private sector. His work solving the challenges of modern logistics systems led him to build the world’s first PO-detailed, line-item materials management platform for capital projects.

The innovative software took its name from the problem it solved: tracking every material all the way from conception to consumption. HAL, Inc. brought that vision to market as C2C®.
